Shoebox Appeal

As we enter the festive period, Audit Yorkshire turned its thoughts to those less fortunate.

Last year we supported local charities in providing help to those in need over the challenging winter period. The team contributed food items, toiletries and clothing which helped homeless people and those people in crisis (see here).

This year we thought we would look further afield and support the Shoebox appeal, which aims to bring joy and hope to children in need around the world by giving them gifts that they would not otherwise receive.

Members of our team managed to fill 11 boxes for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14. Each box contains a mixture of fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items. These shoeboxes will shortly be shipped off to children in developing countries so that they have something special to open over the festive period.
