University of York Grad Jobs & Placements Fair

Last week team members of Audit Yorkshire (Chris, Sarah and John) attended the University of York Grad Jobs & Placements Fair on 14 October to speak to a wide range of students about our organisation, the work we do, and potential career paths they could consider within our team. 

The event was well attended with over 300 students across the day. Our team members took the opportunity to promote the exciting and varied role of an Internal Auditor which included identifying the wide range of auditable areas, particularly within the NHS. They also raised awareness of the other services provided by Audit Yorkshire and highlighted the benefits of working for us. 

Members of our team also discussed career options at Audit Yorkshire with the students. They highlighted the trainee auditor role as this is most suitable for graduates as it does not require applicants to have internal audit experience and allows them to obtain a masters level professional qualification through the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), whilst gaining valuable insight and experience of how a large, varied and ever changing organisation such as the NHS works.
